Mothers in Capital

A confidential mastermind for mothers of young children who work as investors in venture capital and private equity: for caring about showing up as the best version of you as an investment leader, and the version of you caring at 2am for your other children.

Ambition and motherhood do not need to cancel each other out.

This is not about choosing between the fund and the family. It is about building the judgment, the language, and the peer group to hold both, without pretending one does not affect the other.

Careers in venture capital and private equity are demanding by definition. Long hours and travel are a given, and things like carry and the promotion path depend largely on the fund you work at. With no standard to measure against, it is harder to plan for the years when you are both an investor and a mother. It can feel overwhelming, especially early on, and it can feel unsafe to talk about it at all.

This is a room for that conversation, with women in the same situation who want honest discussion and practical answers. We cover the guilt, the logistics and the identity shift too. You leave knowing what you can change, what you can accept, and what to ask for.

A private, curated circle for mothers in VC and PE ready to lead with clarity, on their own terms, in the deal room and at home.

A circle for mothers navigating both.

Wherever you are between maternity leave and the Partner track.

You are:

  • Investing in venture capital or private equity, at any seniority from Associate to Partner.
  • Returning from, approaching, or several years past parental leave, and renegotiating what ambition looks like now.
  • Navigating the travel-heavy parts of the job (roadshows, LP meetings, portfolio visits) alongside childcare reality.
  • Tired of being the only mother in the room, or the only investor in your mothers’ group (if you even have time for that).
  • Ready to build a career plan that is honest about this season of life, without lowering the ambition.
  • Not interested in a whiney moms club. This is for ambitious women looking for constructive conversations to navigate this in the best way possible.

The work, together.

Each theme surfaces through the real decisions you bring to the room.

Returning and remaining visible

Ambition and visibility

Renegotiate ambition and visibility after leave without starting over. Reclaim your pipeline, your deal credit and your place in the partner conversation.

Protecting your seat

Handle travel, board seats, and deal flow on terms that work for your life and career.

Redesigning the terms of seniority

Asking for flexibility

Name and ask for the flexibility you need without it reading as reduced commitment, and keep evening and travel boundaries without apologising.

Economics and interruption

Talk plainly about carry, compensation, and the financial reality of a career interruption.

Integrating leadership and motherhood

Your leadership model

Build your own model of what ‘senior investor and present mother’ looks like, including what to outsource, what to protect and what to let go.

Identity and guilt

Make space for the identity shift, the guilt, and the parts of this no LP deck ever mentions.

Everything in one cohort.

Online mastermind sessions

Every two weeks, confidential conversations grounded in the real decisions in front of you right now.

02

1:1 executive coaching

Senior investors and parents who have built a version of this that works for them. Hear how they negotiated leave, carry and travel, and what they would do differently.

04

Private peer circle

A trusted network of mothers navigating the same stage, in the same industry.

05

Frameworks & tools

Practical scripts for negotiating leave, flexibility, and travel, not just theory.

06

A confidential room

Because some of this can’t be said at the fund, and shouldn’t have to wait for a hallway conversation.

The room you have been missing.

What changes:

  • The conversations you need to have, but rarely can, with colleagues.
  • A space where ambition and motherhood coexist, without editing either down.
  • Real challenges brought forward and worked through with peers who get it immediately.
  • Both practical tools and a genuine sense of not being the only one.
  • A confidential circle without hierarchy, competition, or performance.

Small, focused, and intentional.

Three months with enough space for relationships and individual choices to develop. The cohort starts on 12 January 2027.

She built this circle to help them build a sustainable career and personal life. One day a week she is Operating Partner at Borski Fund, investing in female founders to narrow the gender investment gap and aiming to co-invest more alongside female GPs and LPs.

You might recognise yourself in these quotes.

“I want to stay visible in my network without giving up every evening at home.”

“It’s not enough for colleagues to say they’re supportive. I need that support to work in practice.”

“Setting boundaries isn’t a one-time conversation. You have to keep making them clear, and having clear tools for that really helps.”

“I’d value a programme that gives me something practical to use, not just a place to talk about the challenges.”

“The professional network may not be the main reason to join, but the connections you build could become a valuable bonus.”

“This program is especially interesting because of its international character and the fact that I can do it when my child is in bed, in the comfort of my own home.”
